Cleanse, O Lord, my soul of pollution, and save me, as You are the Lover of mankind. Ἐξάγαγε ἐκ φυλακῆς τὴν ψυχήν µου, τοῦ ἐξοµολογήσασθαι τῶ ὀνόµατί σου. Ἐν ταῖς λαµπρότησι τῶν Ἁγίων σου, πῶς εἰσελεύσοµαι ὁ ἀνάξιος; ἐὰν γὰρ τολµήσω συνεισελθεῖν εἰς τὸν νυµφῶνα, ὁ χιτὼν µὲ ἐλέγχει, ὅτι οὐκ ἔστι τοῦ γάµου, καὶ δέσµιος ἐκβαλοῦµαι ὑπὸ τῶν Ἀγγέλων, καθάρισον Κύριε, τὸν ῥύπον τῆς ψυχῆς µου, καὶ σώσόν µε ὡς φιλάνθρωπος. O Master, do not close against me Your heart of compassion, but rouse me up to shake off my heavy sleep, and bring me in with the wise virgins to Your bridal hall, where the sound of those that keep festival unceasingly cries: O Lord, glory to You. Tone 4 Γενηθήτω τὰ ὤτά σου προσέχοντα εἰς τὴν φωνὴν τῆς δεήσεώς µου. Ἐὰν ἀνοµίας παρατηρήσης, Κύριε, Κύριε τὶς ὑποστήσεται; ὅτι παρὰ σοὶ ὁ ἱλασµὸς ἐστιν. Τοῦ κρύψαντος τὸ τάλαντον, τὴν κατάκρισιν, ἀκούσασα ψυχή, µὴ κρυπτε λόγον Θεοῦ, κατάγγελλε τὰ θαυµάσια αὐτοῦ, ἵνα πλεονάζουσα τὸ χάρισµα, εἰσέλθης, εἰς τὴν χαρὰν τοῦ Κυρίου σου. Come, you faithful, let us labor earnestly for Δεῦτε πιστοί, ἐπεργασώµεθα προθύµως τῶ the Master, for He distributes wealth to His Δεσπότη, νέµει γὰρ τοὶς δούλοις τὸν πλοῦτον, servants. Let one have a care for wisdom through good works; let another celebrate a service of splendor; let another faithfully communicate the word to the ignorant; let another distribute his wealth to the poor. For thereby we increase our loan, and as faithful stewards of the grace we have been given we may be rendered more worthy of our Master s favor.
