BATTLE OF CRETE On Tuesday, 22 May, Lieutenant General Nikolaos Dimitrios Christopoulos, Chief of Staff of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Major Nikolaos Gogousis, Public Relations Directorate of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff and the Consul General of Greece Mr Christos Karras and other distinguished guests, visited the School for a formal assembly, commemorating the Battle of Crete. Students, Alexander Neroutsos and Maria Georgakopoulou, presented a speech explaining the significance of the Battle, for Australians and Greeks alike. National pride was evident as the whole School sang both the Australian and Greek national anthems. After exchanging gifts, the distinguished guests visited Primary School classes. Page 1

2 Primary News Welcome Back to Term 2! Term 2 is always a very busy term with NAPLAN, carnivals, assessment tasks, Semester 1 reports and Parent/Teacher interviews. I wish all the students the best of luck for the upcoming term Prep & Kindergarten Enrolments Enrolments for Prep and Kindergarten 2019 are still open. If you are an existing parent and have not yet enrolled, please do so as soon as possible. Also if you have a relative or friend who is interested in enrolling in any grade, please ask them to contact the school Secretary, Ms Kiahidis. School Fees The end of the financial year is quickly approaching. Parents are asked to finalise any outstanding School fees before the end of the term. Please do not leave the payment of fees to the last week of June. Sick Leave The School is required to record the reason for any absences as a way of ensuring that students are absent from school only when they are sick or for another valid reason. The Act requires you to explain your child s absences within seven days of their occurrence. A note must be given to your child s class teacher stating the days absent and the reason for the absence. If a parent knows that their child will be away sick for more than 3 days, they are asked to notify the School by calling the Primary School Secretary. Application for Special Leave Regular attendance at school is essential if students are to maximise their potential. Schools, in partnership with parents, are responsible for promoting the regular attendance of students. The Education Act 1990, requires students to attend school whenever instruction is provided. Taking the family on holidays should be planned to coincide with the school holidays. If for some reason this cannot happen, parents must complete an Application for Extended Leave- Vacation/Travel Form, asking for special leave. The application for leave must include the date of departure, the date of return and an e-ticket or itinerary. Any absences related to travel are now included as absences. Uniform It has come to our attention that many students are not adhering to the school uniform guidelines as set out by the School. Our School prides itself on its quality education and with that the behaviour and appearance of our students. Students are to be wearing correct uniform every day, including appropriate haircuts. Step cuts, buzz cuts and side cuts are not permitted. Instead, we expect boys to have a short, tidy haircut and girls to have all their hair in a ponytail. Please refer to the section in the diary in regards to personal grooming. Please ensure students are dressed appropriately at all times. Queen s Birthday - NO SCHOOL The School will be closed on Monday 11 June for the Queen s Birthday Public Holiday. School Bus Service There are 3 seats available on the school bus that operates in and around Liverpool, Mount Pritchard, St John s Park and Fairfield. If you are interested in having your child use the School Bus Service or have any inquiries about the service, call Pauline on: School Photos On Wednesday, 13 June, the students from PREP to Year 6, will have the opportunity to have their class and individual school photos taken. All students must wear their full winter uniform including their blazers. Students are not to wear their school jumpers for the photos. ICAS Primary students in Years 3-6 have the opportunity to take part in the external competitions set out by Educational Assessment Australia of the University of Page 2

Students may take part in the following competitions: Thursday 14 June Writing $20.00 Tuesday 31 July English $9.00 Thursday 9 August Mathematics $9.00 Even though the competitions are not compulsory, the students are encouraged to participate so that they are exposed to different forms of testing. Debating Our next IPSHA debate will be hosted by our School on Friday 15 June. We will be versing Danebank and the topic of the debate is: Parents should not give their children mobile phones. We wish all of our students the best of luck. Parent/Teacher Interviews Prep Year 6 Parent/Teacher Interviews will take place on Tuesday 26 June between 3:10pm and 7:00pm. Due to some teachers taking leave, some interviews have been scheduled to take place on Tuesday 19 June. Please read the separate notes that will be sent home to request a suitable time to meet your children s teachers. School Uniform Shop The School Uniform Shop will be open in the holidays on the following dates from 8:30am-10:30am: Saturday 7 July Saturday 14 July Saturday 21 July Holy Communion Thursday 28 June Students will attend an end of Term Church service on Thursday 28 June, where they will receive Holy Communion. Please prepare students accordingly. End of Term 2 Friday 29 June Term 2 concludes on Friday 29 June. A happy and safe holiday to all! Commencement of Term 3 - Tuesday 24 July Please note that students commence Term 3 on Tuesday 24 July due to a Staff Development Day on Monday 23 July. Term 3 Reminders Church Service Years 5 and 6 Church attendance for students in Years 5 and 6 has been scheduled for Sunday 29 July. Students are to meet their class teachers at the front of the church hall foyer by 9:30am for entry into the church. Please be advised that students will need to be picked up straight after church so we encourage parents to stay and take part in the Sunday service. Premier s Reading Challenge A reminder that the Premier s Reading Challenge ends on Friday 31 August. We hope that all students and in particular the students in Years 3 to 6 continue with their reading in the holidays. Co-curricular Classes Our fantastic co-curricular program for Years 3-6 will commence again in Week 2 (Monday 30 July) and conclude in Week 9 (Monday 17 September). This term will be the final time that students will have the opportunity to enrol in a co-curricular class. A separate note will be sent home. Please ensure that students in these classes are picked up promptly at 4pm. Please put the money in a sealed envelope with your child s name and class on the front and hand it to your child s class teacher by Friday 1 June. Students will need to bring their own packed recess, lunch and water bottles in a small backpack. Students are to wear their winter sports uniform including their hat. Money raised must be handed in by Friday 15 June, so please make sure you ve returned all money to the class teacher by then. Holiday PSSA Game Some of our winter PSSA teams will have a game during the first week of the school holidays on Friday 6 July. A note will be sent home outlining which teams will be playing and regarding the details of these games. Please try to ensure all team members are available for this game so that teams do not have to forfeit. Term 3 Sport Bus / Transport Levy The Term 3 bus levy of $30 is due on Friday 27 July. Please ensure that all bus levy payments are made by the due date. Incursions Prep to Year 2 On Tuesday 19 June, Prep to Year 2 will be participating in a Pet Education program. The Responsible Pet Ownership Program educates children on living safely with dogs and responsible pet ownership. The incursion is free to all students from Prep to Year 2 and will run through three separate sessions on the day. Year 5 On Tuesday 5 June, Year 5 will be participating in a Space Education program as part of their Science topic entitled, Out in Space. Starr s Planetarium will be visiting the school to take the students on a trip through the Solar System. The cost of the incursion is $15. 5 Excursions Year 1 On Friday 29 June, Year 1 will be going on an excursion to the Australian Maritime Museum as part of their Science topic Water Works. The cost of the excursion is $30. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with your child s name and class on the front and hand it to your child s class teacher by Friday 22 June. Students are to wear their winter sports uniform and bring a packed recess and lunch, including a water bottle and a hat. In the event of wet weather the excursion will proceed as planned. Year 2 On Friday 8 June, Year 2 will be attending an excursion to Rouse Hill House and Farm as part of their History Unit entitled, Now and Then. The cost of the excursion is $50. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with your child s name and class on the front and hand it to your child s class teacher by Friday 1 June. The students will be departing school at 8:30am. Students will need to bring their own packed recess, lunch and a water bottle in a small backpack. Students are to wear their winter sports uniform including their hat. In the event of wet weather the excursion will proceed as planned. Students are to bring raincoats in the event of rain. Year 3 On Tuesday 19 June, Year 3 will be attending an Aboriginal Experience excursion to Bundeena as part of their HSIE and English units. The cost of the excursion is $40. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with your child s name and class on the front and hand it to your child s class teacher by Monday 4 June. Students will need to bring their own packed recess, lunch and a water bottle in a small backpack. Students are to wear their winter sports uniform including their hat. In the event of wet weather the excursion will proceed as planned. Students are to bring raincoats in the event of rain. Year 4 On Wednesday 20 June, Year 4 will be visiting Cockatoo Island as part of their History Unit. The cost of the excursion is $40. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with your child s name and class on the front and hand it to your child s class teacher by Wednesday 13 June. Students will need to bring their own packed recess, lunch and a water bottle in a small backpack. Students are to wear their winter sports uniform including their hat. In the event of wet weather the excursion will proceed as planned. Students are to bring raincoats in the event of rain. Students need to be at school by 8:00am for an 8:15am departure. Year 6 On Monday 4 June, Year 6 will be visiting the Powerhouse Museum as part of their English unit on the topic of Survival. Students will participate in a Virtual Reality Experience and work together as a team to escape from a series of complex doors. The cost of the excursion is $25. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with your child s name and class on the front and hand it to your child s class teacher by Friday 1 June. Students will need to bring their own packed recess, lunch and a water bottle in a small backpack. Students are to wear their winter sports uniform including their hat. In the event of wet weather the excursion will proceed as planned. Last Month Mother s Day High Tea In May, our mothers, grandmothers and friends attended a Mother s Day High Tea. A wonderful afternoon was had by all. Page 5

6 Kindergarten Excursion Calmsley Hill City Farm Last month, Kindergarten went to Calmsley Hill City Farm. The students got up close to a range of native and farmyard animals. They learnt how to crack a whip, witnessed some sheep shearing and enjoyed a tractor ride through the farm. In all, it was a wonderful day for Kindergarten. I went on a tractor ride. It was loud and fun. Kosta Repousis KA Infants and Primary Athletics Carnivals Last month, Prep to Year 6 had their Athletics Carnivals. They were a great success and the students had a wonderful day participating in a great number of events. It was fantastic to see so many students trying hard in a variety of events. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time either assisting with events, serving in the canteen or cooking a tasty sausage sizzle. Your help was greatly appreciated. Page 6

7 Debating Team On Friday 11 May, our debating team debated against Meriden for our first IPSHA debating round of the year. St Euphemia s affirmative team won, but unfortunately our negative team lost. Both teams had very impressive arguments and to treat ourselves, we ate a delicious afternoon tea. Angelina Miltiadou Battle of Crete The Battle for Crete was one of the most dramatic battles of the Second World War. Over 12 days in May 1941, a mixed force of New Zealanders, British, Australian and Greek troops desperately tried to fight off a huge German airborne assault. Despite suffering appalling casualties, the parachutists and glider-borne troops who led the invasion managed to secure a foothold on the island and eventually gained the upper hand. The battle ended with the evacuation to Egypt of the bulk of the Allied force. We commemorate this battle every year with a great sense of pride and gratitude to the soldiers who fought in this battle. Page 7

Students are encouraged to be adequately prepared. PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS - Year 11 Parents/Caregivers of Year 11 students are invited to attend the Parent/Teacher Evening interviews that will be held on Thursday, 26 July progress. Students will receive a booking sheet and are required to book appointments with their teachers. SPORTS REPORT Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia National Schools Event This year, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia National Schools Event (GOOANSE) was hosted by St John's College in Melbourne. It was an outstanding tournament, where 43 students from St Euphemia College competed in 10 sporting events against students from the 7 Greek Orthodox Schools across Australia. The carnival took place from Wednesday 8 May to Friday 11 May St Euphemia College finished in 2nd place overall, with St Spyridon College finishing champion school. Our students represented our school proudly and it was a privilege watching them compete over the 3 days. We finished champions in Girls Netball and Boys Table Tennis, 2nd in Boys and Girls Futsal and Girls Basketball, 3rd in Boys and Girls Volleyball and Boys Basketball and 4th in Boys Outdoor Soccer. In addition to the sporting events, 13 of students participated in a Performing Arts exhibition, in which they completed speeches and traditional Greek dancing in front of all competing schools and Heads of Colleges during the Championship Dinner on Thursday night. Congratulations to these students also. I would like to acknowledge the efforts of Ms Papastamatis, Mr Theodoulou, Mr Vardouniotis, Ms Lou and Mr Xanthoudakis leading up to and during the competition. The work put in by these staff members is monumental. I sincerely thank them for their contribution. Next year, the carnival will be hosted by St George College in Adelaide. This is an excellent opportunity for parents/caregivers to meet their children s teachers and discuss their Page 9

10 YEAR 8 MEDIEVAL INCURSION This year, Ms Hirakis Year 8 History classes, participated in a Medieval Incursion on 12 April. This has been the best incursion I have attended, as it combined learning with fun. James Adams and his assistant from Medieval Learning Productions, taught us about how armour progressed through the different time periods such as the Vikings stage all the way through to the knights in shining armour. Also, we were shown swords and how they too evolved. My favourite part was definitely the dressing up and making our own shields. I truly enjoyed unlocking my inner princess. I got to be a medieval queen and truly felt like royalty. James Adams then showed us the Medieval bows, crossbows and arrows, as well as a miniature catapult. We even got to experience being in the stocks. The incursion taught us a lot about Medieval History and took us on a journey back to Medieval times. Panayiota Vrettos 8 Blue Page 10

ΣΗΜΑΝΤΙΚΕΣ ΗΜΕΡΟΜΗΝΙΕΣ ΤΟΥ ΤΡΙΜΗΝΟΥ Το Β Τρίμηνου τελειώνει την Παρασκευή 29 Ιουνίου για όλους τους μαθητές από το Προνήπιο Γ έως και την Λυκείου. Το Γ Τρίμηνο ξεκινά την Τρίτη 24 Ιουλίου για όλους τους μαθητές από το Προνήπιο έως και την Γ Λυκείου. Η ΜΑΧΗ ΤΗΣ ΚΡΗΤΗΣ Την Τρίτη 22 Μαΐου, Ο Επιτελάρχης του Γενικού Επιτελείου Εθνικής Άμυνας, αντιπτέραρχος Νικόλαος Δημήτριος Χριστόπουλος, ο Διοικητής της Εθνικής Υπηρεσίας Πληροφοριών, Ταγματάρχης κ. Νικόλαος Γογούσης, και ο Γενικός Πρόξενος της Ελλάδας στο Συδνεϊ κ. Χρήστος Καρράς καθώς και άλλοι εκλεκτοί καλεσμένοι, επισκέφθηκαν το Σχολείο μας για να παραβρεθούν σε μία επίσημη εκδήλωση μνήμης για τη Μάχη της Κρήτης. Οι μαθητές Αλέξανδρος Νερούτσος και Μαρία Γεωργακοπούλου παρουσίασαν μια ομιλία σχετικά με τη μεγάλη σημασία της Μάχης της Κρήτης τόσο για τους Αυστραλούς όσο και τους Έλληνες. Ήταν φανερή η Εθνική υπερηφάνεια που διακατείχε ολόκληρο το σχολείο καθώς οι μαθητές τραγουδούσαν τον Εθνικό Ύμνο της Αυστραλίας καθώς και τον Εθνικό Ύμνο της Ελλάδας. Μετά την προσφορά δώρων, οι εκλεκτοί καλεσμένοι επισκέφθηκαν της αίθουσες του Δημοτικού Σχολείου. Page 12

13 Τa Νea Tou Δhmotikou Εγγραφές Νηπιαγωγείου και Προνήπιου 2019 Υπενθυμίζουμε τους γονείς, φίλους και συγγενείς των οποίων τα παιδιά θα πάνε στο Νηπιαγωγείο ή το Προνήπιο το 2019 να βεβαιωθούν ότι έχουν γράψει τα παιδιά τους. Αν δεν έχει γίνει η εγγραφή θα πρέπει να συμπληρωθεί η αίτηση εγγραφής και να επιστραφεί στη Γραμματέα του σχολείου, την κα Κιαχίδης το συντομότερο δυνατό. Σχολικά δίδακτρα Το τέλος του οικονομικού έτους πλησιάζει. Παρακαλούμε τους γονείς να ξοφλήσουν τα δίδακτρα που τυχόν χρωστούν πριν τη λήξη του Β Τριμήνου και να μην καθυστερούν την πληρωμή μέχρι και το τέλος του Ιουνίου. Αναρρωτική Άδεια Το σχολείο καταγράφει την αιτία κάθε απουσίας των μαθητών ώστε να επιβεβαιώνεται πως υπάρχει κάποιος λόγος υγείας ή άλλος σοβαρός λόγος που δικαιολογεί την απουσία. Σύμφωνα με το Νόμο, οι γονείς θα πρέπει να δικαιολογήσουν την απουσία των παιδιών τους μέσα σε εφτά μέρες. Οι γονείς θα πρέπει να δίνουν ένα σημείωμα στη δασκάλα της τάξης, όπου θα δηλώνουν τις ημέρες που απουσίαζε το παιδί τους καθώς και την αιτία των απουσιών αυτών. Αν οι γονείς ξέρουν εκ των προτέρων ότι θα απουσιάζει το παιδί τους για περισσότερες από τρεις μέρες, θα πρέπει να ειδοποιούν το σχολείο μέσω της Γραμματείας του Δημοτικού Σχολείου. Αίτηση για Ειδική Άδεια Η τακτική παρουσία των μαθητών στο σχολείο είναι απαραίτητη προκειμένου για την πρόοδό τους. Το σχολείο σε συνεργασία με τους γονείς θα πρέπει να προωθεί την τακτική παρουσία των μαθητών στο σχολείο. Σύμφωνα με το νόμο Εκπαίδευσης 1990, οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να παρακολουθούν τα μαθήματά τους τακτικά. Οι οικογενειακές διακοπές θα πρέπει να συμπίπτουν με την περίοδο των σχολικών διακοπών. Αν για οποιονδήποτε λόγο αυτό δεν είναι εφικτό, οι γονείς θα πρέπει να συμπληρώσουν μια αίτηση ειδικής άδειας όπου θα αναγράφουν την ημερομηνία της αναχώρησης, την ημερομηνία της άφιξης καθώς και το ηλεκτρονικό εισιτήριο ή το εισιτήριο δρομολογίου. Από τώρα και στο εξής, κάθε άδεια για ταξίδι αναψυχής λαμβάνετε ως απουσία. Σχολική Στολή Τελευταία έχουμε παρατηρήσει ότι μερικά παιδιά δεν φορούν τη σωστή σχολική στολή σύμφωνα με τους κανόνες του σχολείου μας. Το σχολείο μας φημίζεται για την άριστη εκπαίδευση που προσφέρει παράλληλα με την άψογη εμφάνιση και συμπεριφορά των μαθητών μας. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν τη σωστή σχολική σχολή καθημερινά. Επίσης θα πρέπει να έχουν το σωστό κούρεμα. Το κούρεμα των αγοριών θα πρέπει να είναι κοντό και ομοιόμορφο χωρίς «καπελάκι» και διάφορα κοψίματα. Τα κορίτσια θα πρέπει να μαζεύουν τα μαλλιά τους σε αλογοουρά. Παρακαλώ να ανατρέξετε στο ημερολόγιο όπου αναφέρετε λεπτομερώς ποια πρέπει να είναι η σωστή εμφάνιση των μαθητών. Παρακαλούμε να βεβαιωθείτε πως οι μαθητές είναι ντυμένοι με την κατάλληλη στολή και έχουν την κατάλληλη εμφάνιση γενικότερα. Γενέθλια της Βασίλισσας- ΣΧΟΛΙΚΗ ΑΡΓΙΑ Τη Δευτέρα 11 Ιουνίου θα έχουμε σχολική αργία λόγο των Γενεθλίων της Βασίλισσας. Υπηρεσία Σχολικού Λεωφορείου Υπάρχουν ακόμη τρεις διαθέσιμες θέσεις στο σχολικό λεωφορείο που λειτουργεί στις περιοχές Liverpool, Mount Pritchard, St John s Park και Fairfield. Αν θέλετε το παιδί να χρησιμοποιήσει τις υπηρεσίες του Σχολικού Λεωφορείου ή έχετε κάποια σχετική απορία, μπορείτε να απευθυνθείτε στην Pauline στο: Σχολικές Φωτογραφίες Την Τετάρτη, 13 Αυγούστου οι μαθητές του Προνήπιου-Στ Δημοτικού θα βγάλουν τις ατομικές και τις σχολικές τους φωτογραφίες με την τάξη τους. Συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Δασκάλων Νηπιαγωγείου Στ Δημοτικού Οι συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Δασκάλων θα λάβουν χώρα την Τρίτη 20 Ιουνίου μεταξύ 3.10μ.μ. και 7.00μμ. Έχει ήδη σταλεί σημείωμα στο σπίτι όπου μπορούν οι γονείς να σημειώσουν την ώρα που θέλουν να συναντήσουν τη δασκάλα του παιδιού τους. Διαγωνισμοί ICAS Οι μαθητές της Γ - Στ Δημοτικού θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να λάβουν μέρος στις εξετάσεις του προγράμματος Educational Assessment Australia που διεξάγει το Πανεπιστήμιο της Νέας Νότιας Ουαλίας. Οι μαθητές μπορούν να πάρουν μέρος στους εξής διαγωνισμούς: Έκθεση: Πέμπτη 14 Ιουνίου-$20.00 Αγγλικά: Τρίτη 31 Ιουλίου- $9.00 Μαθηματικά: Πέμπτη 9 Αυγούστου- $9.00 Αν και οι διαγωνισμοί δεν είναι υποχρεωτικοί, οι μαθητές ενθαρρύνονται να πάρουν μέρος σε αυτές για να αποκτήσουν την εμπειρία που προσφέρουν τα διαφορετικά είδη διαγωνισμών. Διαγωνισμός Debating Η σχολική ομάδα Debating θα συμμετάσχει στον επόμενο διαγωνισμό IPSHA Debating Competition έναντι του σχολείου Danebank, την Παρασκευή 15 Ιουνίου. Ο διαγωνισμός έχει θέμα «Οι γονείς δε θα πρέπει να πρέπει να δίνουν στα παιδιά τους κινητά τηλέφωνα». Ευχόμαστε καλή επιτυχία σε όλους τους μαθητές που θα συμμετάσχουν στο διαγωνισμό. Συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Δασκάλων Νηπιαγωγείου Στ Δημοτικού Οι συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Δασκάλων θα λάβουν χώρα την Τρίτη 26 Ιουνίου μεταξύ 3.10μ.μ. και 7.00μμ. Σύντομα θα σταλεί σημείωμα στο σπίτι όπου μπορούν οι γονείς να σημειώσουν την ώρα που θέλουν να συναντήσουν τη δασκάλα του παιδιού τους. Ώρες Λειτουργίας του Μαγαζιού Σχολικών Στολών Το μαγαζί που πουλά είδη της σχολικής στολής θα είναι ανοιχτό στη διάρκεια των Σχολικών Διακοπών στις εξής ημερομηνίες: 7 Ιουλίου, 14 Ιουλίου, 21 Ιουλίου από τις 8:30πμ- 10:30πμ. Κέντρο Ελληνικής Γλώσσας και Πολιτισμού Το Κέντρο Ελληνικής Γλώσσας και Πολιτισμού είχε μεγάλη επιτυχία και ως εκ τούτου θα συνεχιστεί και στη διάρκεια του Γ Τριμήνου. Το κόστος είναι 10 δολάρια ανά μαθητή. 15 Εκκλησιασμός Ε και Στ Δημοτικού Ο επόμενος εκκλησιασμός για τους μαθητές της Ε και Στ Δημοτικού έχει προγραμματιστεί για την Κυριακή 29 Ιουλίου. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να βρίσκονται στο Χολ της εκκλησίας στις 9.30πμ. Οι γονείς θα πρέπει να πάρουν τα παιδιά τους αμέσως μετά τον εκκλησιασμό. Θα πρέπει να πάρετε τα παιδιά σας αμέσως μετά τη λειτουργία, γι αυτό λοιπόν ενθαρρύνουμε τους γονείς να πάρουν μέρος στον Εκκλησιασμό. Ελπίζουμε ότι όλοι οι μαθητές και κυρίως οι μαθητές της Γ -Στ Δημοτικού θα συνεχίσουν να διαβάζουν και στη διάρκεια των διακοπών τους. Co-curricular Classes-Ομάδες συμπληρωματικών μαθημάτων Το εκπληκτικό πρόγραμμα ομάδων συμπληρωματικών μαθημάτων για τους μαθητές της Γ - Στ Δημοτικού θα συνεχιστεί και στη διάρκεια του Γ Τριμήνου, τη 2η Εβδομάδα (Δευτέρα 30 Ιουλίου) και τελειώνει την 9η Εβδομάδα (Δευτέρα 17 Σεπτεμβρίου). Οι μαθητές θα ταξιδέψουν με λεωφορείο μετά τις 9:00πμ, από το Σχολείο και θα επιστρέψουν στις 2:30μμ. Το κόστος της εκδήλωσης είναι 10 δολάρια. Περαιτέρω πληροφορίες σχετικά με τους αγώνες θα δοθούν σε σημείωμα. Παρακαλώ να βεβαιωθείτε ότι όλα τα μέλη των ομάδων είναι διαθέσιμα για τους αγώνες, διαφορετικά θα ακυρωθούν. Παρουσίαση Προγράμματος για μαθητές Προνήπιου -Β Δημοτικού Την Τρίτη 19 Ιουνίου οι μαθητές του Προνήπιου-Β Δημοτικού θα λάβουν μέρος σε ένα Εκπαιδευτικό Πρόγραμμα για τα Κατοικίδια ζώα. Το Πρόγραμμα του Υπεύθυνου Κάτοχου κατοικίδιου διδάσκει στα παιδιά το πώς να ζουν με τα σκυλάκια τους με ασφάλεια καθώς και για την ευθύνη που πρέπει έχουν όσοι έχουν κατοικίδια ζώα. Η παρουσίαση αυτή είναι δωρεάν για όλους τους μαθητές του Προνήπιου-Β Δημοτικού. Το Πρόγραμμα αυτό θα πραγματοποιηθεί σε τρεις ξεχωριστές παραστάσεις. Ε Δημοτικού Την Τρίτη 5 Ιουνίου οι μαθητές της Ε Δημοτικού θα λάβουν μέρος σε ένα Εκπαιδευτικό Πρόγραμμα για το Διάστημα στα πλαίσια της ενότητας της Φυσικής με τίτλος: «Έξω στο Διάστημα». Οι Starr s Planetarium θα επισκεφθούν το σχολείο μας και μαζί τους οι μαθητές θα ταξιδέψουν στο Ηλιακό Σύστημα. Το κόστος του προγράμματος είναι 15 δολάρια. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν την πλήρη χειμερινή αθλητική τους στολή μαζί με το καπέλο τους και να έχουν μαζί τους πρωινό, μεσημεριανό και ένα μπουκάλι νερό μέσα σε έναν σάκο. Οι μαθητές θα λάβουν μέρος σε μια Τρισδιάστατη Εμπειρία δουλεύοντας ομαδικά, ενώ θα προσπαθήσουν να δραπετεύσουν από μια σειρά πολύπλοκων πόρτων. Το κόστος της εκδρομής είναι 25 δολάρια. 18 Νεα Του Γυμνασιου Εξετάσεις Πρώτου Εξαμήνου Οι εξετάσεις της Α Γυμνασίου - Α Λυκείου θα διεξαχθούν από τη Δευτέρα 4 Ιουνίου έως την Παρασκευή 8 Ιουνίου Ευχόμαστε σε όλους τους μαθητές μας Καλή Επιτυχία. Εμβολιασμός Ο εμβολιασμός για τους μαθητές της Α - Β Λυκείου θα λάβει μέρος την Τετάρτη 13 Ιουνίου Σχολικές Φωτογραφίες Οι σχολικές φωτογραφίες έχουν προγραμματιστεί για την Πέμπτη 14 και την Παρασκευή 15 Ιουνίου. Όλοι οι μαθητές πρέπει να φορέσουν τη χειμερινή σχολική στολή τους. Είναι υποχρεωτικό οι μαθητές να φορέσουν το σακάκι τους και τη γραβάτα τους.
