Η επαφή με το προϊόν δύναται να προκαλέσει εγκαύματα ή κρυοπαγήματα. Σε υψηλές συγκεντρώσεις μπορεί να προκαλέσει ασφυξία. 4 ΠΡΩΤΕΣ ΒΟΗΘΕΙΕΣ Μέτρα πρώτων βοηθειών - Εισπνοή : Σε υψηλές συγκεντρώσεις μπορεί να προκαλέσει ασφυξία. Τα συμπτώματα μπορεί να περιλαμβάνουν απώλεια συνείδησης/προσανοτολισμού. Το θύμα μπορεί να μην έχει επίγνωση της ασφυξίας. Μικρές συγκεντρώσεις CO2 προκαλούν επιτάχυνση της αναπνοής (λαχάνιασμα) και πονοκέφαλο. Μεταφέρατε το θύμα σε ασφαλή περιοχή φορώντας αυτόνομη αναπνευστική συσκευή. Κρατείστε το θύμα ζεστό και σε ανάπαυση. Καλέστε γιατρό. Κάνετε τεχνητή αναπνοή άν σταματήσει να αναπνέει. - Επαφή με τα μάτια/επαφή με το : Αμέσως ξεπλύνετε τα μάτια με άφθονο νερό για τουλάχιστον 15 λεπτά. δέρμα Σε περίπτωση κρυοπαγήματος ψεκάστε με νερό για τουλάχιστον 15 λεπτά. Εξασφαλίστε τον απαιτούμενο εξαερισμό. : Προσπαθήστε να σταματήσετε τη διαρροή του αερίου. Αποτρέψτε την είσοδό του σε υπονόμους, υπόγεια και ορύγματα, ή οποιοδήποτε μέρος όπου η συσσώρευσή του μπορεί να είναι επικίνδυνη. : Εξαερίστε την περιοχή. 7 ΧΕΙΡΙΣΜΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΠΟΘΗΚΕΥΣΗ Γενικά Αποθήκευση Μεταχείριση : Δοχεία, που περιέχουν ή περιείχαν εύφλεκτες ή εκρηκτικές ουσίες, δεν πρέπει να αδρανοποιούνται με υγρό Διοξείδιο του Ανθρακα. Πρέπει να αποκλειστεί η δημιουργία σωματιδίων στερεού CO2. Το συστημα πρέπει να είναι γειωμένο, ωστε να αποκλειστεί η δημιουργία ηλεκτροστατικού φορτίου. : Φυλάξτε το δοχείο σε καλά αεριζόμενο χώρο με θερμοκρασία κάτω από 50 C. : Αποτρέψτε την είσοδο νερού μέσα στο δοχείο. Εμποδίστε την αναστροφή της ροής προς το εσωτερικό του δοχείου. Χρησιμοποιείστε μόνο τον εξοπλισμό που είναι ειδικά καθορισμένος για αυτό το προϊόν, την πίεση παροχής του και τη θερμοκρασία του. Εάν υπάρχει αμφιβολία επικοινωνήστε με τον προμηθευτή σας. 14 Presentation of BOREAL Principle The grapes are pumped from the crusher and enter into the cooling vessel. Liquid CO 2 is injected through up to five liquid valves to cool the crushed grapes by direct contact The thermal exchange is quick and CO 2 separation takes place in the same vessel. CO 2 is vaporized and exhausted at the top of the vessel through a vent valve. The level and pressure controls of the vessel enable to balance the grapes inlet flow with the cooled crushed grapes outlet flow. 4

16 Presentation of BOREAL Description There are five injection points of liquid CO 2, each one controlled by the control command unit. A temperature range around the grapes desired cooling temperature activates sequentially the LCO 2 valves. Opening or closing the liquid valves depend on the difference between crushed grapes temperature set-point and measured temperature in the cooling vessel. The temperature control immediately reduces the temperature of the grapes by up to 18 to 20 degrees, e.g. grape temperature of 28 C at reception in winery and 10 C after cooling. The temperature of the cooled grapes (8 to 16 C) depends on the type of wine making 6

17 Presentation of BOREAL Description The cooling vessel works in pressure and continuously. The vent valve controls the internal pressure and enables to push the cooled crushed grapes in the winepress, settling or fermenting tanks. The pressure for transferring the grapes is adapted to the outlet pipe pressure drop from the cooling vessel to the next process stage. Besides, the cooled crushed grapes do not contain CO 2 gas. Therefore speed in the outlet pipe is rather low and the crushed grapes have little mechanical stress. There is no need to install a pump at the vessel outlet. Typical pressure drop is around 0,2 0,3 bar. 7

18 Presentation of BOREAL Description After a working day, the equipment has to be washed with water in order to drain internal must deposit and the injectors have to be cleaned. The vessel is equipped with 2 safety valves at 4 bars, and a mechanical pressure switch at 3,5 bars that puts the equipment in positive safety with liquid and gas valves closed and vent valve open. 8

20 Presentation of BOREAL Injection Each injection valve is of 3-ways valve type with one way for LCO 2 and the second way for CO 2 gas. When a liquid injection valve is closed, the valve injects CO 2 gas in order not to clog the injector installed in the vessel with crushed grapes seeds. The number of liquid injection valves is limited by the internal pressure. The higher the pressure is, the more the liquid injection valves are closed. Maximum vessel pressure is 4 bars.
