Parish News Church Choir Our choir rehearsal is on Wednesday, September 3 rd and Wednesday, September 10 th at 6:30 PM at the church. The first Sunday for the choir is September 14 th. New members are most welcome! New Horizons Soup Kitchen We ask you to bring three important things with you: a willingness to work hard, an open and positive attitude, and a smile! We can promise you that you will work hard, have some fun, and learn a great deal about yourself and your fellow human beings. We need approximately 12 servers each time we volunteer. If interested, please contact Stephanie Piet at 315-5026. Please volunteer with us on the fourth Sunday of every month. Join us, you will not be disappointed!!! Philoptochos News For all members of our organization I would like to kindly request that each of you considers donating items for our Penny Sale table this year. We ask that these be new items and suggest retail gift cards if you haven't anything else that you wish to donate. We have found over the years that retail gift cards, including grocery, are very popular and sought after on the penny sale table. The Board members all thank you in advance for your generous donations. We are also kindly requesting donations of baked goods, Greek or not, and/or monetary donations to help with our cost of baking and cooking supplies. We appreciate any donation you may offer. Our Autumn Bazaar this year will be October 25 th and 26 th in our church hall with two added tables: Attic Treasures and Christmas Items. We will also have six or more baskets for raffle. Youth News Our first youth ministry meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 8 th at 7:00 PM in the Youth Center. We need all teachers and advisors to attend. Exciting News We have some wonderful new Sunday School Teachers! We would like to thank them all for their dedication for this upcoming year! Stacy Kalampalikis is our Sunday School Director 1 st & 2 nd grade (Kindergarten) Teachers are Nicole Condemetraky and Alexandra Demos 3 rd & 4 th grade Teachers are Angeliki Kaampalikis and Theohare Kapellakis 5 th grade Teacher is Despina Yogas and Abigail Piet 6 th and 7 th grade Teacher is Stacy Kalampalikis Upcoming News September is right around the corner and with September coming that means the return of Sunday School and Greek School for our children! On Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, we will have registration for Greek School. We hope that all parents can join us in signing up your children on this day. Sunday School will begin on Sunday, September 14 th. Please have your children at church for 10:15 AM. We will continue to sit in the first two rows where we normally sit. We do ask that parents sit behind those two rows as we have not had enough room for all the teachers and students this past year. Greek School will begin on Thursday, September 18 th at 3:30 PM. You will receive information regarding what class and the exact time of the classes at registration. We look forward to an amazing and blessed year in our Youth Ministries!!! This is a great opportunity for all! 9 BUSINESS CARD ADVERTISING Anyone with a business that would like to advertise in our monthly bulletin, please contact the Church office. A business card format, about 2 ½ x 1 ½ will run for a period of 12 months for one set fee of $150.00 a year. This will help to defray the ever-increasing costs of printing and mailing these bulletins to our homes as well as advertising your business to our parishioners and through word of mouth, to their friends.
