In ths paper we construct Mabuch L M ω functonal and Aubn- Yau functonals Iω AY,J AY ω on any compact complex three-folds. The method presented here wll be used n the forthcomng paper [5] on the constructon of those functonals on any compact complex manfolds, whch generalzes the prevous work []. Contents 1. How to generalze these functonals from Kähler geometry to complex geometry s an nterestng problem. In [], the author solved ths problem n dmenson two and proved smlar results n the Kähler settng. By carefully checkng and usng a trck, we can construct those functonals on any compact complex three-folds. Moreover, the dea n ths paper wll be used n the forthcomng paper n whch we deal wth hgher dmenson cases Mabuch and Aubn-Yau functonals on Kähler manfolds. Let (, ω be a compact Kähler manfold of the complex dmenson n. then the volume (1.1 := ω n 1
2 2 YI LI depends only on the Kählerclass of ω. Let P ω denote the space ofkähler potentals and defne the Mabuch functonal, for any smooth functons ϕ,ϕ P ω, by (1.2 L M,Kahler ω (ϕ,ϕ : 1 ϕ t ωϕ n V t dt ω where ϕ t s any smooth path n P ω from ϕ to ϕ. Mabuch [7] showed that (1.2 s well-defned. Usng (1.2 we can defne Aubn-Yau functonals as follows: (1. (1. I AY,Kahler ω (ϕ Z ϕ(ω n ω n ϕ, Jω AY,Kahler (ϕ = Lω M,Kahler (,ϕ 1 ϕω n. So Aubn-Yau functonals are also well-defned. However, f ω s not closed, then the above defntons do not make sense. Hence we should add some extra terms on the defntons of those functonals. These extra terms should nvolve ω and ω, but, the essental queston s to fnd the structure of the extra terms. In the next secton, we wll answer ths queston Mabuch and Aubn-Yau functonals on complex three-folds. Throughout the rest part of ths paper, we denote by (,g a compact complex manfold of the complex dmenson, and ω the assocated real (1,1-form. Let (1.5 P ω := {ϕ C ( R ω ϕ := ω 1 ϕ > } be the space of all real-valued smooth functons on whose assocated real (1,1- forms are postve. For any ϕ,ϕ P ω, we defne L M ω (ϕ,ϕ 1 ( ϕ t ω ϕ t dt 1 ω ( ϕ t ϕ t ω ϕt dt 1 ω ( ϕ t ϕ t ω ϕt dt ϕ t ϕ t ω ϕ t 1 1 ϕ t ϕ t ω ϕ t where {ϕ t } t 1 s any smooth path n P ω from ϕ to ϕ. Our frst result s Theorem 1.1. The functonal (1.6 s ndependent of the choce of the smooth path {ϕ t } t 1 n P ω. For any ϕ P ω we set (1.7 L M ω (ϕ := LM ω (,ϕ. Then we have an explct formula of L M ω (ϕ:

In any case, we have (1.16 InfErr ω SupErr ω ω n. It mples that the quantty SupErr ω s bounded, but the quantty InfErr ω may not have a lower bound. Notce that the lower boundedness of InfErr ω s equvalent to the upper boundedness of sup ϕ P ω ωn ϕ. We can ask a natural queston [6]: Queston 1.. Under what condton (weaker than the Kähler condton, the quantty (1.17 sup ωϕ n ϕ Pω s bounded from above? Remark 1.5. (1 In [] the author showed that f ω = ω ω =, then the volume ωn ϕ does not depend on the choce of the smooth functon ϕ P ω. Consequently, ωn ϕ = ωn for any functon ϕ P ω, whch gves an affrmatve answer to Queston 1.. In the surface case, we can only assume ω =. ( Let (,ω be a compact Hermtan manfold of the complex dmenson 2. By a theorem of Ganduchon [2], there exsts a smooth functon u, unque up to a constant, such that (1.18 ω G =, ω G := e u ω. V. Tosatt and B. Wenkove [9] showed that (1.17 s bounded by (2eunf u 1ω 2 from above. Usng the dea n [9] we can show that, under a sutable condton, InfErr ω s bounded from below when n = and, consequently, (1.17 has an upper bound. Theorem 1.6. Suppose that (, g s a compact Hermtan manfold of the complex dmenson and ω s ts assocated real (1,1-form. If ω =, then InfErr ω s bounded from below. More precsely (1.22 nf ϕ P ω ω n ϕ ( 2e usup (u 1 ω 2 >. We can prove Conjecture 1.7 for n = provded that a smlar condton holds for u. Theorem 1.9. Mabuch L M ω functonal on compact complex three-folds Let (,g be a compact complex manfold of the complex dmenson, and ω be ts assocated real (1,1-form. In ths secton we defne Mabuch L M ω functonal and prove the ndependence of the choce of the smooth path. As a consequence, we gve an explct formula for L M ω.
